Careless Mistake

Part 40

Early January 2005.......

Britney rolled over and woke up when her hand hit the bed and not Justin.  She opened her eyes and looked around the room.  He was sitting across their bungalow watching her as he drank his morning coffee.

"Come back to bed," she moaned as she stretched a little.

He smiled that lopsided grin and tossed something up in the air and caught it.

"No, I'm enjoying the view from here."

She could hear the ocean waves crashing from the open door behind him.

"You hungry?" he asked tossing the item up again.

"Starving.  You've been giving me good workouts every night," she giggled.

"Hey, we have to burn off all of that food we've been eating during the day," he chuckled.

She pulled her pillow to the side and rested her chin against it as she stared at him.

"Come over here," she whined again.

He smiled and shook his head and threw the object up and caught it again.

"What is that?"

"It's my Christmas present from you.  I forgot that I had packed it, just in case you were ready to tell me what it goes to," he said wiggling his eyebrows up and down.

She buried her face in the pillow and laughed.

"You brought the key all the way to Hawaii?" she asked.

"Yes....you've yet to tell me what it's for."

"Come over here and I'll tell you," she said, motioning him over with her finger.

He slowly stood up and walked over to her.  When he sat down on the bed next to her the sheet that was already barely draped over her back slid down more.  She took the key from him and looked at it.

"Are you sure this is the right key?" she asked.

"Yes."

"Well, it's to a couple of things....."

He leaned back on his elbow and stared at her.  "Like?"

"Well....first and foremost it's the key to my heart...." she giggled.

"Your heart?"

She nodded.

"Then why didn't you just tell me then?  Why the big secret?"  He was confused.

"Let me finish...." she interrupted.  "In actuality, it's the key to my hope chest back in Kentwood.  It has a lot of personal memories in there and this is my way of unlocking a little more of my heart and my life to you."

"Awww," he said as he leaned down and kissed her.  "But why didn't you tell me when we were there at Christmas?"

She shrugged.  "I kind of wanted to wait until we were married.  Sort of another step for us."

"I get it," he winked at her.  "Now.....let me properly say good morning to you."

She closed her eyes as she waited for his kiss.  He smoothed his hand out over her bare back as he pulled himself closer to her.

She lost herself in the moment and almost forgot how hungry she was.  She tried to pushed him away from her.

"No....I need food, Justin," she said against his lips.

"Later," he mumbled.

She pushed at his shoulders as hard as she could to make him move but he kept pulling her closer until they were both laughing.

"No fair, you're bigger than me," she said when he finally moved back a little.

Suddenly her stomach growled, which made Justin look down.

"Whoa....you're right, we need to feed that thing."

"Shut up," she said, slapping his arm.

Then there was a knock on the door.  He leaned over and quickly gave her a kiss as he pulled the sheet back up to cover her.

"As much as I love you sitting around naked, I don't want to share that with anyone," he said, getting up off of the bed to answer the door.

He took the tray from the attendant and handed him a tip before coming back into the room and sitting back down on the bed.

"You stinker," she said, grabbing a piece of fruit from the tray.  "You had food coming all along," she said with her mouth full.

"You didn't think that I wasn't hungry too, did you?" he asked as he buttered a piece of toast.

"I thought you were hungry all right," she giggled.  "Um, what time is it?" she asked, looking around for a clock.

"It's almost nine."

"What time do we need to leave to go parasailing?" she asked in a giddy tone.

"Around eleven.  You're really excited about this, aren't you?" he chuckled.

"Yeah, I haven't gone parasailing in a long time."

"Neither have I, come to think of it," he said scratching his head.

They continued to chat and eat a little when Justin looked down and smiled.

"What?" Britney asked as she looked down at her body.  The sheet that was haphazardly covering her had fallen to her waist.

"I think I need to help you clean this mess up," he said, scooting in closer to her.

He gently grabbed one of her shoulders and moved his face closer to her chest.  He slowly licked the spot between her breasts where some juice from the fruit she had been eating had dripped.

"Can't miss over here," he said, moving his mouth to her left breast.  He spent quite a bit of time making sure he didn't miss a spot before moving over to her right breast.

She threw her head back slightly as she tried to watch his mouth.  She loved watching his mouth as he devoured her like this.

"God, I need to eat fruit naked like this more often," she moaned.

When he lightly nipped her nipple she dug her fingers into his hair.

"I don't need food anymore," she said, lifting his face to hers.

"Is that nice and tight?" Justin asked as he checked the harness on Britney's parasail one more time.

"Justin, you've checked it three times already, it's fine," she said, touching his cheek.

He leaned down and gave her a kiss.

"I'm just making sure," he smiled.

"You guys ready?" the driver of the boat asked.

"Ready!" Britney said.

"I love you....have fun," Justin said before giving her one more kiss.

"I love you too."

He hopped into the boat and sat next to Chad, who would be watching her and the rope.

When the motor started Britney screamed, "Woohooo!"

Justin looked at Chad and chuckled.  "She doesn't get out much."

Chad smiled and nodded and the boat started to pick up speed and they watched as Britney took a few steps off of the platform when Chad gave her the signal and up in the air she went.

Justin got the video camera out and started to record.  He chuckled when he got a close-up of Britney as she waved.  She gave two thumbs up and then continued to look around.

"It's getting a little choppy out here," the driver said as he started to steer a little to the right to avoid the waves.

Britney was enjoying the gorgeous view of the Island when suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her side.  She winced and tried to look down at her harness.  Maybe it was a little too tight.

When her time was up they pulled her back in and she landed safely on the boat, which slowly came to a stop.

"That was great," she said to Justin's camera, then she stuck her tongue out at it.

When Britney was free of the harness Justin handed her the camera and started putting the harness on himself.

Once he was strapped in they made their way to the platform again.

"Aren't you going to double-check it?" he asked, in a pouty tone.

She giggled.  "No, I think these guys know what they're doing.  Besides, you checked mine so many times I think it cut off my circulation," she said, rubbing her slightly aching side.  "Have fun," she said.

He leaned down and gave her a quick kiss before hopping up onto the platform.  She started recording and sat back in the chair as the boat took off.

She started to giggle as he tried to pose like he was sitting with his legs crossed but wasn't having much luck at it.

"Oh he'll love the way that looks on here," she said to no one in particular.

Suddenly the dull ache in her side became stronger again and she pressed her hand against her side.  When the pain lessoned again she lifted the camera back up and tried focusing it on Justin again.

When his time was up they pulled him back in.

"That kicked ass," he said as he landed on the back of the boat.  "Hey, I saw a cove back over that way," he said pointing to a spot behind him.  "Any access to that?" he asked Chad.

"You'd have to get to it by boat.  It's pretty secluded most of the time," he told Justin.

"Cool, thanks."

"You have fun trying to be goofy?" Britney asked him as he stepped down into the boat.

"Don't I always?" he asked.

He plopped down next to her and rested his arm behind her on the bench as the boat took off again.

"Did you see that cove?" he asked.

"I don't know," she said shrugging.

He pointed to the area where it was at.  "I'm thinking we can rent a boat and go check it out.  It looked like there was a small waterfall back there."

"Sounds beautiful," she yelled above the sound of the wind and the motor.

A little later in the day Justin stood on the covered balcony of the bungalow and watched the afternoon rain fall.  He took a sip of coffee and walked back inside.

"Brit?  Let's watch the video from the last couple of days," he yelled as he set the cup down and walked over to the TV to hook up the camera.

Britney stood over the sink and braced herself with one hand while the other was holding her side again.  She tried taking deep breaths and when she could stand up straight she turned the cold water on and splashed her face.

She took a few more aspirins and turned to leave the bathroom but ran into Justin.

"You okay?" he asked, noticing how pale she looked.

"Yeah, just a bit of a stomach ache," she said.

Out of instinct he reached up and felt her forehead.  "You're a little warm."

"Justin....it's Hawaii, it's warm here," she said, walking past him.

He noticed the bottle of aspirin on the counter and followed her into the other room.

She took a seat on the couch and grabbed a throw pillow to hold on her lap.

"You wanna watch?" he asked as he rejoined her in the room.

"Sure," she shrugged.

"You want anything while I'm up?" he asked, pointing to the kitchen.

"You made coffee?  I'll have some of that," she smiled.

When he left the room she threw her head back and squeezed the pillow tighter.  As soon as she heard Justin's footsteps close to the room she lifted her head and smiled again.

"Here you go," he said handing her the cup before retrieving his and sitting down next to her.

He picked up the remote to the camera and pushed play.  They laughed as they watched the couple of activities they enjoyed over the last couple of days there.

"Nice shot," she said as she smacked Justin because of a long shot he took of her butt only when they were on the boat today.

"Hey, I liked what I saw," he chuckled.

"Uh huh," she laughed.

Britney started to laugh again when Justin appeared on the camera, trying to do his silly poses.  He started laughing as well.

"Okay that does look pretty dorky," he laughed.

Suddenly the picture changed and all you could see was the deck of the boat.

"What happened?" he asked when it lasted quite a few seconds.

"The camera slipped," she said.  "See, there it goes," she said when the picture returned back to Justin.

He gave her a concerned look because he noticed the paleness again and noticed she was sweating a little.

"Baby, what's wrong?" he asked, turning toward her.

"I told you....just a tummy ache.  The harness was too tight....."

"That wouldn't cause you to look like you're about to pass out, Britney," he said in a warning tone.  "I'm going to take your temperature....I'm sure someone around here has a thermometer."

He picked up the phone and dialed the check in desk to the resort.

She tried to stand up but it hurt too much so she sat back down and held the pillow to her stomach tightly as she closed her eyes.

"Hello....yeah I was wondering if there's anyway for me to get a thermometer...." Justin started as he turned around to look at Britney.  When he saw the pain on her face he changed his mind.  "On second thought, how do I get a hold of a good doctor?"
